"We introduced the 3 Mpbs offer in late spring," Verizon's Bob Elek confirms to Broadband Reports adding that they're also offering it as a gateway migration offer for DSL users. "We're using the 3 Mbps FiOS Internet offer principally to migrate our 1 mbps High Speed Internet (DSL) customers and as a retention offer." While the offer may not appeal to more mainstream users who know what the FiOS network is capable of, it's potentially appealing to light users who don't need blistering speed.
