Verizon Reneges on Free Data for Chromebook Pixel Owners Monday Jun 23 2014 12:08 EDT Last year, buyers who shelled out $1450 for the Google Chromebook Pixel were promised two years of 100 MB free LTE data per month, courtesy of Verizon. One year later and Computer World notes that both Verizon and Google appear to have forgotten the promotion ever existed, and owners of the Chromebooks suddenly find themselves unable to get their free data -- and unable to get any answers. "Verizon is telling customers that as far as it's concerned, the plans were valid only for one year -- and that's why those initiated last spring are now expiring," states Computer World. Is this a simple mistake or another case of Verizon math? Update:and.... here comes the lawyers and potential lawsuits. |

You unlimited people...It's things like this that make me hope that the Unlimited Data people cost Verizon as much money as possible. | | BiggA Premium Member join:2005-11-23 Central CT

IdioticOn Verizon's part. Not only does it cost them nothing to provide, but they had a big upsell opportunity. Now they don't. | |
