I've heard that the city will never see FIOS TV due to some unkown agreement with Comcast.

I know Oakland and Brookline have it (if you're off Pioneer Ave).

Should have 150 HD channels by the end of the yearI expect this to fall short due to the fiasco with their 'near flawless' advertising campaign and failing to deliver promised LCD TVs to their customers.

Check the verizon board, people are getting their tv's, even if not as fast as one would want, me included. Failing to deliver would indicate that no one is getting their promised tv's, and that is just plain inaccurate. You are also skewing your first issue. Shocking that your email addy is comcast.net though LOL

Unless the anon system has changed in the last 2 or so years I believe it is based on the network from which you connect from. IE If i use verizon I show up as @ verizon opt online @optonline.net ect.

Cox..we currently have about a total of 35 channels and counting..
from what i was told, cox wants to add about 100 more HD channels by years end.
got to remember, it's not true HD unless the programme is broadcast in HD. about 90 percent of the stuff is either stretch o vision or upconverted but as time goes on, more shows will be sent in true HD.

Re: Cox..Think of it this way,if your receiving a sub par signal wouldn't you rather have that signal originally sub par not sup par plus compressed.
