INTEGRATING the two together would be like putting water in your gas lawn mower because the lawn needs watering as part of the growth process. Fios is a land based internet connection (part of it) which could use your wifi router at home, connected to the FiOS service so your now wifi enabled phone can do this. The cell towers are CDMA and use the Verizon Proprietary EVDO technology which uses their "data" plan. | |

| TCPIP Control More than likely, this will be some type of TCPIP control via MOCA on your own LAN. That's going to be the only way for it to happen and keep the key press to STB latency low. Having said that, it shouldn't be too difficult to sniff the protocol and add it to other devices. Honestly, it's something they should document anyways for the custom integration market of home theater / home automation. | |
