Verizon Communications last week announced plans to install a fiber-optic network across New Jersey capable of delivering telephone service, Internet access and television programming just like the cable companies.
But for Verizon to score a triple play of voice, data and video services, its plan must clear some major hurdles. Story Continues @ nj.com
Cool they are using a contractor from the town next to mine to run the fiber. Doesn't mean much, but it's nice knowing they are using local guys.. I've heard reports of them using people from far away states never to be seen again after the fiber is put up onto the poles.
Not to mention it will be creating 300 local jobs which ain't a bad thing.
