In a news release dated May fourth, Verizon has confirmed the rumors that have been circulating of late that upload speeds will be roughly tripled in the base package, to 384Kbps, and a new tier offering, at 3.0/384, will be made available this summer. VOIP service will, evidently, also be being offered, starting, according to this release, sometime in the current quarter.
