Rally1 join:2000-06-12 Long Beach, CA | The more options the better. Now do they have the 3G handsets to go with the service? The price is great compared to others, you get both their wireless web services for $80. And 400k down compares to the basic DSL lines out there. The more options the better I say.
PS: Warning the "as advertised" link is one of those annoying webpages you cant use the "back button" on. (Click the black down arrow on IE to get back to DSLR)

AFAIK, unless something changed very recently, VZW is now provisioning "free" Express Network (aka NationalAccess under the new naming scheme) only for customers with camera phones, and only for use with the camera feature of such phones. "Free" EN was provisioned on many accounts for awhile but VZW wised up and apparently put a stop to it.

Funny, Safari let me go backward and I didn't see any pop-ups. Maybe you should switch to Mozilla or Firebird or Opera? IE is a steaming turd if you ask me.

| | Wow, not much of a deal. That really isn't a deal. Especially for Wireless service that only works when it is perfect outside...
I'll stick to my Road Runner and there terrible service.

| | | Re: Wow, not much of a deal. Just costs way too much. I'm not rich enough, and I don't know many who are, to pay that much for cell phone service, and 'supposedly' being able to use it with laptops and such. Sprint screwed me out of that deal, and after two months, I'm finally able to use my phone again, after the $450 bill they hit me with. -- MediaXPeer | |

thumbs down from: bokamba
| is it really 329kbps I would be very interested to see if this new EVDO service is the same as the current 2.5G in the other markets where you get 45kbps to 80kbps but that is just for web content when you start downloading something the it goes down to 19kbps or lower. | |

| Hell, that's about as good as I'm seeing with VOL 2003-10-06 18:20:04 EST: 504 / 137 Your download speed : 504576 bps, or 504 kbps. A 61.5 KB/sec transfer rate. Your upload speed : 137033 bps, or 137 kbps.
Maybe I should dump this PC for a phone

Anyone out there plan to try this new connectivity in the Public Safety environment (CAD mobiles etc)? Sounds like a decent option with CDPD fading into obscurity in the near future. Speeds are looking a lot better than CDMA or GPRS.
