Virgin Announces In-Flight Broadband Deployment
Entire fleet to get GoGo service by 2Q, 2009
by Karl Bode Thursday 20-Nov-2008 tags: business · wireless · bandwidth
Virgin America today announced their deployment schedule for Aircell's GoGo in-flight broadband service. The company will be holding a press event November 22 to demonstrate the service, and will offer GoGo starting November 24 commercially -- albeit just on one airplane. Broader deployment isn't expected until the second quarter of 2009, according to Virgin. Ultimately Virgin says the service will be on all of their planes, a slightly easier feat given the limited size of their fleet. Gogo service costs $12.95 for cross-country flights, and $9.95 on flights of three hours or less. Unlike other airlines, Virgin offers an outlet for each passenger.

Why can't I get this?

Virgin doesn't do DEN-SAT or DEN-AUS flights, otherwise I'd be all over this...

I know, right? You would think they would jump all over DIA, being a huge international airport that is pretty close to the center of the US....
