by GI Suck 10:47AM Saturday Jan 29 2005
This article by Tyler Hamilton announces Rogers plans for its own VIP service
»www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Conten···9119419

The article states that using their services over Vonage or Primus Canada will mean a promise of at least 8 hours of battery backup incase of power outages. They also state that the VoIP service will not go down if your internet connection is suddenly not working.

Rogers is keeping a keen eye on Vidéotron's latest release of their new VoIP (read: »www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/Conten···99119419 ) before releasing their own tier of VoIP.

VoIP Trials in April?

Hmm....

I wonder if I would be considered. I wouldn't mind testing VoIP for the first time, but I wouldn't dump the land line unless I am 100% confident that if my internet goes down, that my phone line would go down.

But then again, just like everyone else, I'm broke to tears. So unless its less than $10/mo, and that are willing to trade my bought out modem for free would I say yes.

How about anyone else?
