Sprint Reveals More on Roaming, and AT&T Pounces

Don't feel bad sprint, T is just pissed that they can't roam onto other networks like you can, because CDMA just has lots more to roam onto, especially in rural areas. I for one am fine with the decision as long as I get coverage, I don't care what network I'm actually on, nor do I care if I'm roaming. Bring on the faster 3G, and LTE, cmon Network Vision...

I personally use Sprint, along with roaming onto Verizon/US Cellular. Looking over ATT's map, they just don't have the coverage I need, and the maps are also overly optimistic at best. I do have a tracfone that's activated on ATT, so at least I'd know the coverage area by experience, and not from an overly optimistic map.

Stolen iPhone article

Here in Massachusetts it is a violation of Massachusetts law (MGL Ch. 266 Sec. 21) for the bearer of stolen property to refuse to surrender stolen property to it's rightful owner. This is a criminal offense. Also it is a crime to be in posession or receive stolen property (MGL Ch. 266 Sec. 60).

I am not an attorney. I did get the legalese from a google search of Massachusetts law. If I had my iPhone stolen and Apple had it in their store, I would ask a judge to order Apple to turn the stolen iPhone to it's rightful owner.

Apple's legal department should really rethink how they service iPhones, especially if the service on them is suspended. If I (a non attorney) can figure out that they are in violation of the law by accepting stolen iPhones for service or swapping them out, then Apple must have some incomptent lawyers on their corporate counsel. And I am sure Massachusetts is not the only state with possession/receiving stolen property laws on their books.

All of my CPE (including my EMTA) is customer owned. The only Comcast owned equipment in my house is the CableCards in the two TiVO boxes I own.

Re: Stolen iPhone article

considering they sent the SFPD after someone for selling off the supposed prototype iPhone found in a bar, its funny their support will openly help theives.

However I bet their support is off in India and just following a script and not thinking that the service was suspended for a reason.

Exactly. Apple would be in possession of stolen property and would need to turn it over to the police.

You guys are too funny!
Do any of you really think that laws, rules, regulations etc... apply to the Almighty Fruit Co.?
C'mon, get real.
When you have a 100 billion dollar piggybank (and counting), YOU make the rules.
Ya'll should be getting in line now for the ipad3 instead of wasting time discussing what law applies to whom.

Limited Smartphone uptake.

In other words... you people are too stupid to realize you should be buying our perfect product. We will have to lobby for legislation requiring all people to purchase smartphones for their own safety.

Amazon looking into taking on NetFlix

They will have to upgrade the content a lot! And of course, they will need some streaming apps that actually work and make the experience pleasant.

Right now, Amazon's instant sucks. Really, really sucks.
