Don't Text and Drive!

And don't text while riding your bike, either! Keep your eyes in the road (or in the sidewalk) and both hands in your handlebars.

Note that I said "sidewalk" because traffic lights are very hard for me to see during the bright day time and it can be very hard for me to predict when I can move to the left lane to make a left turn when it comes to cars going fast in a 40-50 MPH road.

Oh, and my mom can be so worried about my life when it comes to riding the bike in the road.

My tricycle will be in my apartment in Monday. I'm hoping to start riding a tricycle in the sidewalk as I'm too scared to be riding in the road. But still, it'd be nice to break the reliance in using the bus system as sometimes I can be too impatient in waiting for the bus. A cab is a good option but I can't stand making phone calls due to my hearing impairment.

M2M customers...

So we should block progress because some people won't give up the old ways? If a business or person is unwilling to progress with technology I have no sympathy for them. Why should the rest of the world be held back because of them?

Re: M2M customers...

its our ego, combined with greed (in this situation being cheap at expense of others) that wants to held us back.

Just as I have no sympathy for former college friends, I donated money for their charitable marathon but ignore my emails. Not that I expect donation/money/gift in return but kindness is not much to ask for.

Seriously? You expect businesses to replace every last device and piece of equipment every 3-5 years just because something new comes along (even though the old one is still fulfilling its purpose just fine)? M2M modules are used by millions of devices from credit card terminals and ATMs to fire alarm systems to remote power/sensor reading. Replacing everything every few years is impractical and unsustainable. You can't always just add on or replace communications modules; if the manufacturer went under or stopped producing parts for that model or if it's embedded into the core of the device then the device just cannot be upgraded and the whole thing must be replaced.

Re: M2M customers...

However should AT&T hold itself back spectrum wise for this small handful of customers when they could shift that allocation to higher bandwidth services that are in demand and will need more room?

3-5 years? Sorry 2G has been around for what, at least 15 years and at&t isn't dumping it for another 5 years. Cell phones used to be analog. I guess "forcing" people to give up their analog phones was being evil mean and greedy. Guess what, you wouldn't have 3G let alone 4G if carriers were still forced to maintain analog signals for the luddites that don't want to upgrade

if I am not mistaken, 3G itself is closing in on 8 years old if only talking the most basic 1x EVDO and EDGE versions. So really the companies on 2g have minimal excuse.

Yes, I do. That's the price of doing business. If they can't handle it, they should find some other line of work that doesn't require progress. Using your thinking, we'd all still be using horse and buggy for transportation.
