The NSA Admits It Analyzes More...

Knowing their penchant for lying under oath, I don't believe a word of it. They probably don't collect or analyze ANYTHING. They're just trying to make people paranoid...

Re: The NSA Admits It Analyzes More...

With any luck, the Patriot Act will fail in 2015, and the FISA court will be removed due to abuse.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. The NSA has shown it can't be trusted to do the right, legal, or moral thing. So drop the hammer.

one can only hope, the FISA court has no place in the US. Secret courts should be illegal.

Well, between then and now, the COUNTRY needs to start replacing Congress-Critters to make SURE it fails and that those responsible are prosecuted.

You mean the legislators that wrote, and passed into law, the Patriot Act?

I'm sure you realize it, but there will be no prosecutions, especially in the IC.

I'm sure you realize that stranger things have happened in history (Especially after the toppling of a corrupt regime). Of course they can always avoid such unpleasantness and do the only honorable thing...

Hey... how bout that Snowden... He's a Ruskie now... wild and crazy kid...

Do you honestly see any such thing happening?

Hey, how about that traitor, seeking refuge with one of the US' longest standing adversaries. Ironically, an oppressive state that has historically monitored its citizens more than the alleged wrongdoings of the US. Add in that the Russians would love nothing more than to dig through Snowden's treasure trove of national secrets, and gee, shocker that he may be granted asylum.

He WAS granted asylum. Maybe he can get Vlad to give us a good price in Siberia for some trash we may need to store away for a long time.

Easy with that "T" word. That's what some would call those that usurp the Constitution for their own gain.

He was? I read that he's requested asylum and may be granted temporary asylum within the week.

Vlad said it was a done deal and the U.S. should get over it. The paper work will probably take a week, their bureaucrats being no better than ours.

Very interesting some of the people joining the fan club:

Re: The NSA Admits It Analyzes More...

I still read that he may be able to leave his hiding spot in the airport while his request for asylum is being considered.

Why are either of those two interesting?

I think the articles speak for themselves. I really liked the part about bringing the criminals involved to justice. It's time for the IC and LEA's to learn that they are NOT ABOVE the law. Perhaps a few placed indefinitely into a Gulag will reinforce that concept to the rest.

Re: The NSA Admits It Analyzes More...

There are no criminals, don't you get it? When laws allow for these egregious acts, how can anyone honestly be so outraged and on a witch hunt? Repeal the law(s) that enable these practices, and then we can talk. Once again, nobody will go to jail for any of this, except Snowden if the US can get its grip on him.

How about that Hero, forced to flee the USA due to persecution and imprisonment (Human rights abuses.)

Sad day when moving to Russia is better then staying here, eh? Guess he doesn't want to stay in a hole the rest of his life? So much for the USA.

Re: The NSA Admits It Analyzes More...

I'll play along.

How about that traitor and coward that ran away because he wasn't man enough to stand up for his beliefs in the face of breaking the law? Human rights abuses? Hah! He would've been arrested, tried, and if convicted, imprisoned. How exactly would it be a human rights violation for imprisoning a convict?

He's in Russia because he got trapped there and not many other places are willing to accept him. Doesn't say much for him does it?

Being persecuted for beliefs is why asylum is granted by countries. It's just until recently, it wasn't the US doing the persecution. The times, they are a changin'.

Re: The NSA Admits It Analyzes More...

He's a coward. He threw a couple of punches and ran away. If he was truly worried about being persecuted or was so disgusted with his country, he could've easily left and lived his life elsewhere in peace. Instead, he felt the need to violate his sworn oath and betray the trust placed in him by his employer, family, friends, nation, and the USG. BTW, the US isn't persecuting him, rather it wants to arrest him and prosecute him in a court of law for his alleged acts of espionage.

How exactly are the times changing?

Sad what The Party has turned this country into isn't it? People flee to Communist Nations for protection from the thugs...

At least thanks to Mr. Snowden, the world can get a glimpse of what a foul, putrid turd Amerika's Government is.
