XM/Sirius deal approval guaranteed

News on the deal and the 3-2 Repub-Dem vote in WSJ about 4 PM. So insiders got the leak ahead of time.

The dip before noon was when FCC Commissioner Adelstein voted NO on the merger. And when Repub Commissioner Tate got more concessions and decided to vote yes the stock jumped.

Approval news must have leaked early afternoon as both XM & Sirius have jumped over 10% in late afternoon trading.

Re: XM/Sirius deal approval guaranteed

I hate it when people pull this crap. The rest of us without access to anything but news feeds get screwed.

Maybe the SEC will nail the asshole.

Asia/Europe dominate FTTH

The European countries get the benefits of lower populations here... From the article, Europe has 1.4 Million FTTH subscribers, while the USA has 3.3 million. (Of course, Asia trounces either of them)

Of course, the Asian deployments put anywhere else to shame.
