FF4 on Android

I have been using the Android Firefox app for a few days now. It took a little bit to get used to. I do like the tabs across devices, it's very smooth.

Re: FF4 on Android

As soon as Flash is incorporated, I'll probably make the switch too. I played with some of the earlier betas and I agree, it does take a little to get used to compared to the stock browser.

re: Burning Question: Is Wi-Fi Squatting Illegal?

Short answer is yes; but no one enforces it unless it is added on to another more serious hacking charge as a way to pile on the offenses to force a plea deal.

Re: Burning Question: Is Wi-Fi Squatting Illegal?

you know, I'm still amazed that there isn't some form of authentication built into wifi access points. at least something more specific than an encryption key. Maybe users/passwords, acls

There can be, but users/owners need to actually use the tools

re: Firefox 4 now available for Android phones

Why no FF4 for iOS devices like iPad & iPhone? There are 3rd party tabbed browsers other than Safari for iOS devices available, so Apple allows them. Why hasn't Mozilla taken advantage of tapping that huge user base?

Re: re: Firefox 4 now available for Android phones

Because Android has a larger user base and is growing at a larger rate? It took Mozilla forever to roll out FF for Android. Mobile devices don't appear to be a priority at all for the Foundation.

And the Android & no iOS decision by Mozilla may also be influenced by the fact that Android's developer Google is the biggest funder of the Mozilla Foundation.

And Firefox is not available for all Android phones, only certain phones with a particular processor/chipset. There are millions of Android phones that Firefox is not available for because Mozilla chose to code it for a specific processor family.

re:FBI probes Comodo Web security breach

The https security certificate authorizing system is so easily abused, that depending on an https connection to protect your data from both independent hackers and governments is a pathetic joke.

Re: re:FBI probes Comodo Web security breach

The hacker that cracked Comodo wide open claims another vendor has been successfully attacked.
