Nah. The US wants to the monopoly on internet crushing activity. On the one hand, I am opposed to the UN taking over the internet because the US invented it and if foreign countries don't like it, they can invent themselves an alternative. On the other hand, the US has been showing a propensity to take on some of the traits of the worst countries on this planet with regards to restriction so perhaps it cannot get much worse.

Yes. There has been several nasty bills, I believe one old one has been dug up, it may pass because its "for the children"! They really want to control the internet, because its the only way the truth gets out!

NJ asks FCC to block Verizon spectrum deals

New Jersey counsel claims operator's spectrum buying spree could lead to collusion, higher prices.

Is this guy dumb? Ok so Verizon shouldn't be able to buy spectrum that cable companies are squatting on and will never use but then it's ok to take away spectrum from OTA broadcasters because companies like Verizon are running out of spectrum. Does that make any sense.
