As that article points out it is financially impossible.

But it makes me wonder, Why should Google do any copyright stuff for free? they should charge about 10k per request from a major studio for processing. I know that would make Google investors happy.

Why is every company so afraid of becoming a dumb pipe.

I pay a premium for my ISP because they are a dump pipe. So what's the problem?

Everthing I see about ISPs wanting to bundle content just seems like a mess that will fragment the content on the web and make it a nightmare for consumers.
