Ads on mobile phones

Lower my bill? Yeah, that'll happen.

How do most mobile ads work? Do they arrive as SMS messages? MMS? Hopefully they do not cost anything to receive. Though, I wouldn't put it past a mobile phone company to spam their users with ads *AND* make the user pay for it.

You'll never get a lower price. If I was in the states and getting this you had better believe i'd be raising hell about those messages. This is something i dont look forward to dealing with when i return this summer.

I wonder how these mobile phone execs would feel if someone spammed them with ads.

Ok, what if the ads come via SMS?

They would probably feel more important. Seriously the old bugger wants us to email him on his blackberry any time his dsl goes down. Self important dick.

Personally I don't even want to see ads on a damn phone , hard enough scrolling threw crap on the small screen.

FCC auction

Isnt there any news on the FCC auction, surely this is done with by now, but no one has any new news on it in days. Googles stock is getting the crap pounded out of it, and if the news can come out that google lost (sadly) the auction it would drive the price from a very friendly already to a super deal price.

Wimax and LTE

Ok. so let me get this strait. They said Wimax will have some startup speed bumps that could delay it's rollout but they don't put the same restrictions on LTE? Did I miss something here. Wimax is already deployed. It appears mostly overseas but with 4G eqp getting installed and accepted in switch sites all over the nation, how can LTE come to the table 3 years later and hit the road running without the SAME roadblocks. Comeon CW, why try to kill a good thing before it gets into our hands, and whats not to say LTE won't suffer the same fate. I want what your smoking.
