Some similar crazy ideas earlier before about separating Cook county and Chicago from the rest of Illinois or Separating Long Island from Upstate New York.
Re: Silicon Valley enterprenour proposes to divide California into six states
It can work and we don't have to change the flag. Simply combine Vermont, New Hampshire, Conneticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine into Super England.

It would be a cold day in hell before you got NH and Maine to agree to become one again with MA. I assume VT feels the same way.
Lots of (not all) MA folks want to move to NH to get away from MA, then they want to change NH to be just like MA. No thanks!
I would be overjoyed if one of two things happened [...]
California pays into federal taxes more than receives. Texas and many other states in South receive more from the federal government than give. Texas is China of the United States with cheap labor and lack of regulations. Lets give those parasites away to Mexico. lol
If Texas is such a "Parasite", then explain why so many people are wanting to move here and get out of California! Dont get me wrong, I like California, but it really is the land of fruits, nuts, and overpriced everything!

Corporate welfare California, New York and other blue big states have to subsidize in addition to state social welfare programs they fund on their own. Whether mismanaged, abused or not doesn't change the fact southern states with less taxes take advantage of their big tax neighbors in north.
Grandma is recovering from her hip fracture quite well. She has an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon next month for a follow-up. I found out that the chair vans that take them from the nursing home rehab facilities are NOT covered by Medicare. I'm not sure if they're covered by her Medicare supplement (she has the one from AARP), so we're debating if we'll take her in the car or pay for the chair van. There is me and my 58 year old mother so their is two of us, but the chair van might be cheap insurance if something happens. She is not yet able to put full weight on her right leg quite yet.
My car is a 2001 Dodge Stratus, if the nursing home was on a bus line I would just take her on the bus as we could just put her in a wheelchair and take her on the bus as the buses are low-floor wheelchair accessible but the home is in Wilbraham which is an affluent community where the people own luxury cars. The bus would take the wheelchair transfer issue out of the equation (the bus has a wheelchair ramp that comes out the front door, and they have the tie-downs) but the car is much faster and you don't have to change buses at that dangerous (crime ridden) bus terminal.
Too bad I couldn't rent a wheelchair van and drive her myself. I'm sure wheelchair vans cost as much to rent as the medical transportation itself.
Deploy your fiber goodness to all 34 city's and then to the rest of the nation. Wipe DSL and cable off the face of the USA. We need to become a all fiber to the home nation. Vote why60loss 2016.
Google rebellion against the ISP's has truly began!!!!
World's biggest drug lord arrested; does it matter?
Mexico arrested the world's biggest drug lord, but does it really make any difference? They had him before and he just bought the guards to let him escape. Even if they keep him locked up, will it make a dent in the drug trade and non-stop murders in Mexico?
Which Netflix should have done all along, but refused to because they had a better transit deal with the cheapo Cogent middleman.
Good: Netflix streaming improves greatly with Comcast. Bad: If Netflix has to do same deal with Verizon and AT&T, then their costs go up and their monthly subscription fee will go up. Instead of $8/mo, maybe I'll have to pay $9. A fair tradeoff in my opinion.
One of the biggest moments of the year is here. One of the things on my bucket list is to see this in person. Been to over 20 NASCAR races, never been to the Big One. Nothing like the pre race flyover, the National Anthem, the Command and 43 cars X 850 horsepower getting the green flag.
