SATELLITE -- WildBlue told its dealers late last week that after it announced the Sept. 1 suspension of new orders on three southern spot beams, the company "experienced an unexpected spike in order activity. As a result, we are above 90 percent in all three beams when you include pending orders." Due to the unexpected activity, WildBlue said it would need to accelerate the new order suspension to begin today at 6 p.m. MST. Once all pending orders are installed, the company said it will re-evaluate the capacity of those beams to determine if there is availability for additional customers.
