But the county's employment grew by 3.5 percent during the same period.
That was the second largest decrease in the country, trailing only Trumbull County in Ohio, which saw a 3 percent decrease in weekly wages.
By comparison, the national average weekly wage in the first quarter of 2004 was $758. Travis County's weekly wages rose by 2.6 percent to $836.
