Woman Takes 'Potter' Ban to State

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (AP) -- A woman who asked the Gwinnett County school board to ban Harry Potter books is taking her case to the state.
Laura Mallory of Loganville, Ga., is appealing to the Georgia Board of Education a May 11 decision by the county board to keep the best sellers on school library shelves.
Mallory, a former missionary, filed her complaint in September, claiming that the books promote "evil themes, witchcraft, demonic activity, murder, evil blood sacrifice, spells and teaching children all of this." Read More Here
