From what I remember in my IT classes my freshman year of college, when testing "Internet2" speeds, (our campus, Stephen F. It is how the new company is set up they that makes it French and never to return to the US of A. Holders of Alcatel stock had their shares automatically converted to Alcatel-Lucent stock. Holders of Lucent stock have to turn in their stock and it will be converted into Alcatel-Lucent stock. Alcatel-Lucent is registered with the SEC as a foreign company and reports in Euros and uses International Financial Reporting Standards.
The merger is less than six months old, Alcatel-Lucent stock has dropped over 20% in that time. I see a change coming to the board very soon. Goodbye Murray Hill, NJ hello frogs.
