Xbox One Reviews Emerge
Reviews have begun to trickle out ahead of the Xbox One's official launch tomorrow as the next-generation console wars begin in earnest. Polygon points out the console's bland and relatively (by Xbox 360 standards) large design, though that extra girth helps create a much quieter console. Ars Technica argues that Microsoft falls well short of their promise of a broadband-fueled living room revolution, but does a lot of things right if you can ignore the quirks. The Verge notes the Xbox One is "not particularly easy to set up" and the new Kinect is a little temperamental, but lauds the console's launch lineup. Are you an early adopter?

Early adopters of any console are usually dumb. The best thing you can do is give it at least 6 months to a year before you pick one up so that they can work out the bugs and glitches. For example, with the PS4 there was reports that Amazon had a bad batch that shipped with broken bluray drives and could only offer refunds and not replacements since they didn't have any to spare.

I'm sure there will be some issues with Xbox One's that surface as well, and it's best to let them work out any glitches in their manufacturing process before you drop several hundred dollars on a console.

I'll say that the Xbox One has a much better launch line up. I will eventually get a PS4, but not until sometime in late 2014 most likely since the games just aren't there right now. As for an Xbox One, I will not be purchasing one of those since I have no interest in the console or Microsoft's "vision" for the console.

Avoid MS

I avoid everything by Microsoft and encourage others to do so too.
