Xybase bids for US$1bil airport jobs

XYBASE Sdn Bhd is bidding for US$1bil worth of management solutions projects in six airports around the world, said president Suhaimee Abu Hassan. The airports were in Doha, Jeddah, Abu Dhabi, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Hyderabad, he told reporters at a signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, witnessed by Deputy Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Kong Cho Ha. The low profile bumiputra-owned systems integrator with projects in the Asia-Pacific, the United States and Europe, was yesterday conferred smart partner status by Computer Associates (CA) Malaysia, a first for a Malaysian company. MSC-status Xybase offers products and services ranging from strategic planning, design, development and implementation, network integration services to outsourcing and facilities management. The company was currently working on a project at the SoekarnoHatta airport in Jakarta and providing consultancy services to the Shanghai Pudong airport and Madrid-Barajas airport in Spain, and further development of the Boston Logan airport. The company, he said, was also involved in the maintenance and operations of airport systems by providing technical support through its staff or by supplying its expertise to others.
