Xynaxcom, fashion body to launch mobile fashion TV
(old news - 04:14AM Friday Dec 23 2005)
SOFTWARE development company Xynaxcom Sdn Bhd expects to initially spend some RM100,000 to deliver a content platform for a fashion portal to stream over Internet Protocol (IP) and a mobile TV over the third-generation (3G) network. Managing director Chung Tack Soon said he is confident that Malaysia’s first-ever mobile fashion TV will receive favourable response not just from female but male viewers as well. He said the revenue generated from the venture would be shared equally with Xynaxcom’s partner, Malaysian Fashion Industry Association Bhd (MFIA), which will develop the content and identify offerings to the group within the fashion industry. Chung spoke to reporters yesterday after signing a collaboration agreement with MFIA to launch the mobile fashion TV an entertainment programme to showcase the latest fashion trends 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The programme, which can be accessed from 3G mobile devices, is expected to come on stream sometime in the first quarter of next year. Xynaxcom currently provides gateway services to content providers and it also has connections with local mobile operators in developing and providing a variety of mobile media downloads delivered via short message system, multimedia message system and wireless application protocol/general packet radio service.
