 | Perhaps I'm interpreting this a bit too literally, but if your window is to "open to great possibility", wouldn't having the 'great possibility' in focus vs. the window sill work better?

Maybe thats good! i want to look out but I can't see clear, then I'm drawen back into the house and the inside of the window.
Part of me wants to see the outside clear but I'm stopped at the latch. Interesting feeling... I wonder if you did this with an outside clear view? But part of me say's i should not look at it if you did.
