I'm still getting used to my new camera, and Pepper the cat was a semi-willing participant. She blinks a lot faster than my camera shutter. Of 12 shots, this is the only one where her eyes are open.

I think you did a great job getting those eyes. Yes. They seem to know just when you're going to push the shutter, even before a flash comes about. Little buggers are really hard to get with brightly opened eyes. Hers are really bright.
