These thumb-sized flowers grow and drop by the hundreds from a medium-sized tree. The lining of the petals is very similar to a plush fabric.

Shot with a new Canon 60mm macro lens. Starting at f/2.8, it's not super fast, but it's very sharp.

It's a nice image and IMHO it might be improved by blurring the background, bringing out more detail in the flowers, and making them stand out more from the background.
