ABsolutely lovely. The boulder shows power, but so does the receding tide in its own way. Love the feel of the entire image.

Seeing is everything. For me this image would be better if it were cropped severely from the bottom and somewhat from the left. As it stands it is distracting to my eye and unbalanced.

I find the composition and balance of this image to be spot on, as it nicely follows the sectional law of thirds. Also, the measure of foreground at the bottom of the image adds to the feeling of depth by providing a platform for the eye to step forward into the image. It also provides for full showcase of the water skirt around the foreground boulder. Further, the right side of the image wonderfully features a great framing counter-angle of the receding wave lines atop the sand. Well done!!!

For me the foreground boulder appears to be floating rather than rising from the sand, and as for the law of thirds the boulder itself is larger than any of the thirds boxes. One thing though; it's a fine piece of post processing!

I consider 3rds to be a general compositional guideline - works for me...

I like this image. I do find it a little heavy on the left side, but not by a lot and it is hard to tell. To make it balance I would consider cropping about half way between the boulder and the right side.
