Captivating and sublime.

Just great. Besides the obvious charm of the photo, it is also a fine technical accomplishment. Balancing the light under that canopy of trees and managing to get the framing branches in the foreground properly exposed is commendable. The blur at the end of the road could be a little bit more smoothly done, but that's a detail. Keep it up!

Hope you will allow me to print this and hang it in my wall gallery. I did it in monotone to make it less personal.

I hope you got model releases.

A question for you pros out there. Would a shot like this need model releases for publication? I don't think anybody is recognizeable to the general population, but looking at the photographer and those cute subjects from the thread "[Retouch] I need help with this one", I imagine we're looking at those same darling pumpkin patch kids! Having never had anything published myself, I don't really know how stringent the model release rules are.

... and I should have said in my post above: Yes, I REALLY love this photo. It caught my eye immediately when I say the thumbnails at the top of the forum page. The full sized pic makes me really want to go here, wherever it is! And I wish my kids were small again. There is very much a strong emotional appeal to this photo.

Wonderful photo. Whether it's sunlight or fog, in either case, this is an amazing shot and one to treasure.

What a wonderful capture of childhood innocence, it’s almost like they are walking down the path of life. Notice with each step they are walking further away… The lesson here is to treasure each day you have with your children. Enough said… I’m getting too deep even for myself! :)

That is a really wonderful shot!! Everything about it is perfect. And I think it looks much better in color than B&W.

If all the comments above were put into a choice. My response would be "all the above". The one thing that really jumped out at me was that they were looking at each other when the frame was shot. If these were adults, it would be romantic. But since they are children, the shot says sibling love. In short, sublime innocence. How refreshing. :-)

Wow! Thank You EVERYONE! What a pleasant surprise to find all your kind comments. This image was inspired by a conversation I had with a friend about our children's vulnerabilities, innocence and life's unknowns.

rdavs we hit the same level of deep. I also likened it as the path of life and as they neared the bend were the fog thickened the little one anxiously looks to her brother who gives her a reassuring "Just hold my hand" and continue on.

noerurz The B&W looks awesome. The thought of a picture of mine on someones wall is such a honor. Go for it buddy!

dnnsmenace I had a difficult time generating that fog. I tried several times to get it to what you see. I'm guessing because of you asking that it isn't to fake looking. :)

Sandshark / haertig The way kids are suing their parents now a days I'm gonna get that release signed now! :)

Thanks Again Everyone!
