It started off fine. after a month it slowed alittle but then opened a second server or something and had me switch to a diffrent address. After that my serivce was better then ever and and i can get speeds that are as promised

Avoid Verizon....After a year of using Verizon, I can't wait to jump ship...alas, there isn't anything else in my area right now.
As soon as DSL gets to my area, or Adelphia actually comes though on its promises, I'm stuck. All I can do is warn potential customers.
M-F Daytime speeds are fine...up to about 4pm.
After 4pm or weekends, I often get speeds SLOWER than 56K dial-up. For $41 a month? | |

Re: Avoid Verizon....Adelphia Seems to have an attractive package. Adelphia stated that their cable modem service will be available in Ventura, CA this summer. We will see what pans out. Verizon WorldWind in Thousand Oaks, CA is crap. | |

I came here because of my speeds to find other possibilities. I also am a very slow and unhappy Verizon customer. I agree they suck! Sometimes my speeds are better than 56k dial up but today even AOL on a 56k modem would seem like the freeway. I think that Verizon has knowingly oversold and saturated the market while still boasting "UP TO" x times faster than a 56k modem. Everytime I hear one of those adds I want to puke. I wish there was someway to get all the Newbury Park customers together to call Verizon on it. I talk to this individual or that and they all complain about speed but they normally have talked to verizon about it and have been lied to. From the twit who did my install and placed the link to the street on the third splitter to the call center to the 2nd modem etc.. I have nothing good to say about verizon. They are ripping us off for this service. Their slogan should be High Fees / Slow Speeds Stay Alive drive 55 on the highway! | |

Ive begun calling verizon once a week, mabe i should call them more. I tell them how awful their service is, and ask what their doing about it. They respond with where are are you and were doing improvments that should be done soon. I just wish we could get att@home i know a few people with that service who are very happy all the time. | |

Breach of Contract and Deceptive Advertising?Seems to me we folks in Camarillo,CA are being had by Verizon Worldwind! I'm considering doing two things: (1) visiting the Camarillo City Council to discuss their Franchise, and (2)filing a Class Action Lawsuit for relief!
I will not be another victim of this merry-go-round.
