Re: WippieeeeNothing bloated about it. Most likely it's the same as it was back in the Netscape/IE days where ISP's gave you an option to install one or the other. My guess is the disk you get with the ISP is doing just that. Nothing wrong with a company giving you more options. Better than being forced to use just one product. |

Re: FF is slowI don't really even notice the full page load limitation. A co-worker of mine was talking about it, I didn't even notice it. Whats the big fuss? |

Good news for ignorant customers....Most people who use the Internet are unaware of the dangers and all the spyware out there. Giving them a more secure browser should help them a bit.
I love FireFox and Opera which are the only 2 browsers I have really used since 2002.
Better features and good pop up blocker unlike IE or IE in SP2 service which sucked badly. |

Re: Good news for ignorant customers....Mozilla won't stop spyware.
AS long as there is weatherbug and kazaa and all those other apps that bundle spyware it won't stop. |

It happens if are on a web page you use just to get to another site like news links and stuff. You have to wait for the entire page to load before clicking out. Can be very annoying if you're on dialup. Other than that Firefox is pretty fast in my opinion. |

Then you've either had significant updates to Win95, or installed DCOM ( » www.microsoft.com/com/de ··· ult.mspx ), or else you know something developer Ben Goodger DOESN'T know, because he admits to the Firefox problem, and to the corresponding FALSE system requirements, right on page two of that thread: Yeah we show that dialog on clean Windows 98 systems too... I think you need a few service packs or another app that includes the right version of the dlls. We will get around to fixing this bug eventually so you don't have to do that. » forums.mozillazine.org/v ··· start=15So maybe they've fixed it by now. But I kind of doubt it. They've been too busy raising money for strange "NY Times ads" and getting hired by Google to actually work on the program. -- B |

Re: CoolI agree that competition will bring out the best in I.E and firefox or other browsers. In the end we users will reap the spoils of this browser war. |

Re: Good news for ignorant customers....I could careless about them adding it to my CD ROM. In fact my install cd it on the disk. Never installed it and don't tend to. Still to many bugs that need to be worked out. |

Re: Good Jorb!said by B04:Yes, because SE, I imagine, has the required component. Windows 98 does not. It's a minor quibble, EXCEPT when you try installing on a new Windows 98 installation (by ftp or CD) without having to touch IE. I've tried. Note: They may have fixed this in the last few releases, but I doubt it. -- B It might be assumed that running an older non-updated IE might be like looking for a hooker at the AIDS clinic. Kinda dangerous, wouldn't you agree? |

That's the point. I wasn't RUNNING it at all, and had no intention to, which was exactly why I was trying to install the Weasel.
Anyway, I generally find myself happier with the real Mozilla suite.
