You might check out this site also: » www.masternewmedia.org/2 ··· t_ii.htmBut if you need to do it often with 'guaranteed' results, buying the real deal usually makes sense. |

Don't know if it has all features that you want, but PDFCreator (» sourceforge.net/projects ··· creator/) is a good and free program to create PDF files. |

Watermarks are a fairly advanced feature, and most third-party applications mangle security and copy protection.
I'd strongly suggest actually getting Acrobat. Depending on how you plan on using it, you should be able to get away with using the older version (5.0), if that's cheaper for you. |

Open Office 1.1 can export existing MS Word documents to pdf. Open Office can open the majority of MS Office documents such as spreadsheets, word documents, powerpoint, etc. and export to pdf also. More info. » www.openoffice.org |

Start poking around at PlanetPDF.com. There is all kinds of information regarding the PDF format there. At my work, we use the terminal server version of a product called, Win2PDF. The concept is very simple. You install it on your print server and make it a shared network printer. Then anyone that maps to it can print out PDF's. We use this for basic PDF creation. You may be better suited for a more advanced product. |

"basic PDF creation" may be the key phrase here. I've seen .pdf document created with tools that basically intercepted the "printed" document - and they lose some things in translation: specifically links to anything (on the internet, other places in the document). Not saying all do that, but a couple of .pdfs created that way that I have gotten had that problem. |

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree. We use the full blown Adobe Acrobat product for "non-basic" PDF creation. |

This is in response to johnnyboyct Adware. I tried using that before, but ended up getting lots of pop-ups because of it. [It was removed using Ad-Aware.]:D Would consider tdkyo s' in recommending the software here: » home.hccnet.nl/s.vd.palen/ (which works the same way as pdf995 w/o the Adware) It can make a pdf from any printing source. |
