[Modem] modem access code?

I have a SPeedstream 5100b and a Netgear MR814v2 router. I've put the modem in bridge mode to work with my netgear router. Today I took the modem and plugged it directly to the back of the computer (LAN) to mess around with the settings, and I had to enter the modem access code. I proceeded to enter the code found at the bottom of the DSL modem, but it says it's the wrong code. How can I reset the code?

You log into 192.168.0.1 ...enter access code if needed, and Click on Advanced, select PPP location I think. I can't access my modem config, I'm sure I didn't change the access code, and the access code on the bottom won't work. How do I reset the access code?

Press the reset button on the bottom of the modem.
Did you change the access code when you were in the modme setup pages?

I think I tinkered some with the access code, but I set it to default at the end. Isn't there a way to reset the modem to factory standards?

Press the reset button on the bottom of the unit. Setting the modem access code to the default value using the associated button on the Change Modem Access Code page does not do that on the original boxes. This has been fixed in build 39 posted here »What is wrong? Modem locking up.

For anybody else that has this problem...the reset button is under the sticker on the bottom of the modem. You will have to punch out the sticker over the hole to access the reset switch.
