Cable & Satellite TV → Re: [COMCAST] HDTV in Dallas MetroPlex

I'm hoping it's just an oversight and that the program will indeed be shown in HD. I thought that was one of the purposes of bringing back the program after a many-year absence (which is an outstanding one, by the way).

Actually this is a different show than the one that used to be in the PBS rotation. This Soundstage performance was recorded just last September. There will be a DVD released of this concert on June 15th.

I imagine that this will be in HD since it is the debut of the second season of Soundstage.

Has anyone heard when the KERA-HD signal will return? What a disappointment.

I thought the premise of the Soundstage program was to bring in a quality artist and simply capture the essence of the performance (perhaps as a dig to MTV). The advance press on the program from last year seemed to tout that PBS was bringing back the concept after a many year absence. Incidentally, the Fleetwood Mac concert is indeed supposed to kick off the second season of the show and is apparently culled from a Boston performance recorded last year. I noticed a longer runtime in the Fleetwood Mac case than is usual for the program. DVD/CD of the Boston performance will shortly follow.

Anyway, let's hope the KERA-HD programming is back as soon as possible.
