The firewall settings (low, medium, high, none) apply to outbound traffic only. You can keep it set to none, unless you are worried about something on your PC accessing the internet without your knowledge.

Sorry to pass my confusion to you

I'm thinking of getting one, so I'm going by what I've read in here. so I do not know either way. BUT I could have sworn someone said that if it was set to bridged mode then the firewall did not work? that it had to be set to router?? mode??

Am I even warm on this assumption???
