Capu.net Hands Residential DSL over to Earthlink → Sudden Decision?

Didn't capunet just go through a long process of building a new newsserver? I doubt that many businesses care about what kind of news service an isp offers - seems quite strange. I wonder if this was a sudden decision.

Any know how good the Earthlink news is? (e.g. binary retentions/completeness?)

yeah, they had betanews.capunet going for a while.

It was great while it lasted.

I asked them about it a week ago and was told it was down due to a "hardware failure".

Guess it really went down to cut costs.

Capunet stopped supporting the new newserver several weeks ago. No explanation--just "the old one is the only one we have."
