Re: Win32/Bagle.AH Worm

That is at least the 2nd time you have said that in response to me saying that the only True way to insure you are completely clean is to blow out the box and reinstall windows.
THIS is a fact, so if his AV is finding it ALL over the place, why is this too extreme?

Why would infer that you can insure they will be 100% trouble free without wiping the box, when in fact, you can not guarantee that?

Just because your AV will tell you it is clean after deleting or disinfecting all the files, doesn't mean that problems will not arise because of the infection. Little problems that YOU may not attribute to the virus can (and most likely) will pop up.

Mboy, I didn't read that post as a bad reflection on your suggestion. But I have to agree that a complete wipe and reinstall is a solution I wouldn't take unless I was completely at the end of all possible fixes.

I have run 2 computers for 5 years and never at the worst instance of problems did I ever have to do a complete wipe and reinstall.

You have never reinstalled WINDOWS on either of the 2 boxes in 5 years and you think your PC runs like the day WIndows was installed? Having nothing even to do with viri, M$ reco's a fresh install once a year or so.
