This is the strange part, about XP firewall:

XP Firewall Setup

Left Click .. Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections

Its blank, nothing there. This happened after I went to sp2

yes my online connection is great, yet i dont see anything under network connections.

Cudni, I get there and get this message :

Windows Cannot Start the Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing(ICS) Service.
So my XP firewall is off, or is it on and I cant get there to shut it off. ??

Nope. Problem is not resolved. I got rid of SP2, which is impossible to do. Now I will reformat and never load garbage like this again.
