just called verizon. they said i qualified and provisioned me on the spot. my service was active instantly.:D wow!!!!!!! i live in santa maria, california.

Don't feel bad, I still haven't got it either. I called VZ this morning and according to the Rep, the order is still pending (in the system) but *his* line tests show I should be getting the speeds.

Well, I told him that is all well and good, but the problem is that I AM NOT seeing them. I don't care what they see.

Unfortunately, I had to call from work, so I could not be home when the Rep decided the problem was with me and wanted me to start checking things...

Sigh, can't there be a registration for Techie-minded VZ users so we don't have to go through this crap when we call? Yes, I already powercycled the modem, Yes, I restarted my computer (though I don't know why an Ipconfig /release /renew would not suffice)...blah, blah, blah.

Just get it working! So when I get home today I will humor VZ and call again if I see that my speeds still have not upgraded, and let them satisfy themselves with their stupid tests. I told them to go find an engineer and have him check my pair, cause it sounds like they said they did it but didn't!

Will keep you posted on this.

By the way, Congrats on your "upgrade" to Premium, even though it doesn't make your DSL any faster. How does one acheive that?

Edit: Update, as of 2:00pm Friday, I have the upload speed near 700, but my download is still 1.2. Verizon told me to call back after 6 if it is not fully functional then. Jeez, some people get it that instant, why am I having to pull teeth here?
