You don't have to subscribe to crappy analog tv. You can get the broadband connection by itself. With most DSL's, you have to get crappy analog phone that you don't need since most companies don't offer naked DSL. You can still use the crappy analog phone for 911 service since most phone companies will allow that number to go through. So there's no need to sign on to a phone company you crazy diamond...:)
