He kept loosing connection off and on, and called their support several times. Finally they told him that it would take telus 3 working days to come out and check the line.
anon posted : Just like some of you guys, I spent time searching for other available ISPs who has no traffic limits and no P2P throttling other than Shaw and Telus. 3web and the primus are the company I am interested in until now. I talked to Primus sales and it seems that they have only the 1.5m dsl in Vancouver at the price of $24.95 including the rental of the modem. I was assured that they don't have download limits and contract. For anyone who needs to find an alternative to Shaw or Telus, 3web might be another consider besides Primus. Anyway the funny thing is it seems that the front line customer representatives (no matter which isp) know less than their customers about what the customers wanna know, and they could even pass you incorrect info.

Styvas posted : The business prices don't seem to be listed, so I guess someone will have to call them. In terms of the residential speed, it's possible I misunderstood the online info. For those on the Telus 1.5, it's still definitely a good deal. For those on a faster connection, I guess you have to decide whether or not the caps matter or speed matters. Not an easy decision, of course.

The BC/Alberta package was only 1.5Mpbs (i'm guessing this has something do with the fact primus probably piggybacks on telus system).

so i was just curious as to the costs of the business 3.0 and 4.0Mbps packages.

its still nice to know, that i could drop down in speed to 1.5Mbps over going back to shaw :) You can still download alot more on a slow 1.5Mbps package then you can on shaw extreme :)

I think they are listed as business packages, but it would still be nice to try and find the page where the prices are listed. Telus enhanced already costs a fair bit, if primus' price were comparable on the 3.0Mpbs connection, i might be interested.

allthough i've enjoyed being on telus and feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt at this point, but its really nice to know that i've got somewhere to jump ship to now.
