thanks for your reply, but the article only explains what it does. guess my question was too broad. i'm trying to figure what would cause IE to crash when i enable the content advisor. the advisor has to be enabled, and even if i type in the address of the pages i want exempt from the rules, it still crashes. so by simply turning it on, it causes IE to crash just by posting new topic. has anyone seen this where enabling this causes IE to crash?

Did you try to repair ratings file (second link), in case that fixes it?

there isnt a ratings file in the system folder nor anywhere on the hard drive
