its called exageration...and i was previously told that my area would be upgraded by the end of january (promised by SEVERAL CSRs)... and history repeats it self (I was THE LAST area to get the 3 MB upgrade so that means i will be THE LAST to get the 6 MB upgrade) sorry that you can't understand common exageration.

I don't think that's necessarily true. My area got the 3 MB upgrade about half way thru the rollouts, and this time we are slated to be one of the first (outside of testing areas).

Ziggy- are you sure you aren't included with the Chesapeake Bay area?

if anything i would be in the Delmar area (named after its DELaware/MARyland border loctation). Its less then 50 miles from where i am but that doesn't change anything. Comcast has served one side of the street for over 2 years before crossing to another side to give me service in '03. They are the only game in the whole county so why would they want to improve our service? verizon has horrible coverage here.

Ok something I found out tonight

I called to say I wanted to downgrade my service from the 4/384 for 10 bucks more until I knew the upgrade had hit my area. Basically because I did not feel like paying 10 bucks more a month until March for something that others get for less (Cheap Bastard I know)

Anyhow, the CSR read me the email regarding the upgrade:

Basically it read for my area Portland/Eugene that the entire market of Oregon including parts of South Western WA would get the upgrade on the 26th. I asked if thats 100 percent sure she said "Yes, however the email does say that some users may not actually see the speed increase until the next day as it propogates through the network."

So good news for OR if you live here or South Western WA such as Vancouver, and if you dont see the increase first thing wait atleast until the evening of the 27th before wigging out.
