Total Net Shield - VPN- SSH - Anonymizer.comHas anyone used this product? Since it is using SSH, it sounds like it is extremely secure. I understand how important VPN is when using wireless, and I am looking for a "VPN for Dummies" type solution. Please provide some experiences with Total Net Shield if you can, or maybe some other easy to configure VPN software. Thanks. |

This is really ment to hide where you are surfing and to your identity from the site. It provides a secure connection to Anonymiser's servers and then you surf from their servers. |

I have their Anonymizer browser surfing software. The Total Net Shield, encrypts anything you do on the internet, email, Newsgroups, instant messaging, etc. Just hoping someone could she some light on the speed of this service, and if it is as easy to use as their Anonymizer browser software. Thanks. |

I have used the service and it has gone downhill fast. Especially in their customer service. It's slower than most services and I can no longer recommend Anonymizer. If you want a really good service with little configuration, try findnot.com ..... I have used them for the last three months and have found them to be excellent. They have an ssh tunneling product OR a straight encrypted VPN solution (which is very simple with a choice of around 20 servers worldwide. NO open public proxies!).... Also, it takes more configuration, but COTSE offers a good service. It's not a quick plug 'n go type situation though unless you already understand using Putty, etc. Hope this helps. |
