If you are very happy with OOL dont switch. At least you can reach customer support, I was on hold 90 minutes one weekend with VOL and still didnt resolve the problem when the rep came on!!!!! $50 a month is close to 43.35 a month, why get an ulcer to save 6.65 a month? The new 3.0 Mbps DL / 768 UL is fast if you can get it to work right. Yes you can host an FTP server on VOL. As for uploading affect download, MikePD explained it real well.
