said by smoky_129:i switched from a old ambit to a sb5100 and never had to call in when i tryed to connect to the internet it took me to a charter site and it asked me the new mac id and stuff for the modem about a minute later the modem rebooted and was at 3.0/256
Not every market has online Mac ID registration. Most still require you too call it in or give it to the folks at your local offices.
