kdog41 posted : The 4:3 Override setting is just for SD signals and your options are 480i, 480p, stretch, and off. The DVI/YPbPr Output setting is for the HD signals and your choices are 480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i. Just make sure you set both settings to match what your display can support.

What's even nicer than having the DVR is splitting the cable feed and running one directly to the display. If you have a QAM tuner you can record two programs on different channels at the same time while watching a third program on the ANT input. That's what I did last night. I was recording The Apprentice and American Idol while watching the CBS-HD basketball game. Then when the programs were over I started recording the basketball game while I watched the two shows I recorded. I then switched back to the beginning of the basketball recording and after FF past the commercials and half time program I eventually caught up to the live feed.
--
"Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer.
sstinman posted : Thanks guys! So the fact of the matter is the Moto-6412 can pass an analog signal across the DVI cable (in a digital format). So it seems the HDTV may need the proper signal. I know the HDTV will not accept a 720p signal other than OTA. So a 480p or 1080i signal should work. Using a Samsung HD-DVD player on the DVI input I know 480p or 1080i will work with the HDTV.

Conclusion is if I adjust the 6412 to send a 480p or 1080i signal using a DVI, I should have all the channels. I thought I tried both those settings without luck. But I try again and double check.

One amazing thing to a first time DVR users is I was watching a pre-recorded K1 fight in HD and recording another HD show at the same time.
