[cable] Ambit Data cable modemI have charter pipeline 256/3000 service. I am using there Ambit Data Cable Modem-model#u10c018(external cable modem w/usb and ethernet) and I also have Lingo VoIP service on all telephone jacks in my house. I just purchased a lex mark p3150 printer. This is a integrated copy/scanner/fax printer. Can anyone tell me if I can use the fax feature with my above setup(cable modem) and if so where do I plug my telephone line to and do I need a filter or what? |

Ok, it's not a real fax...this means you need to use a fax-modem in your PC. |

ok! Now can I use this with Lingo VoIP and do I need a filter? I don't want to fry my modem! or cause any conflict. |

No filter, your modem should be able to handle your Lingo line. You may experience problems with faxes using VoIP services. |

Yep you were right! Pc/fax modem dials out and connects but then throws an error. Any other way I can make it work? Without drastic changes... |

well overall I finally found out that the faxes that I sent actually arrived to the recipient but I still get the error report. I assumed that when I got the error message, that the fax was not transmitted or going through, but they did! Wow! new one on me. I see no way in the fax console(program) that explains where the error might be related to. Any ideas of where I might find this information out? |

Is it an error or transmission confirmation? |
