I love mallards. We're currently assisting several broods of young ones who have fallen on hard times (one set lost their mom, another had one sick one which we caught and nursed back to health).

Your image has a nice balance, partly due to the reflection, and partly because the niicely saturated colors are all laid out in such nice places. The duck appears comfortable, and thinking about life and the world (most likely he's scouting for females, too). I like that you got down low to shoot this image, it really conveys a sense of depth.
